MOUNTAIN BIKING: Ranger Creek

← WA HUCKLEBERRY CREEK GREENWATER Single Tracks →

Description

The ride starts w/ a 10 mile climb up forest service roads. You'll start on forest road 72 for 7.4 miles. Then make a right up road 7250 and you'll come to an intersection at 9.6 miles. Take road 210 which ends at 10.2 miles. This will bring you to the beginning of the Dalles Ridge Trail #1197. Take this trail up for about 1/2 mile to Ranger Creek Trail #1197 and take the sharp right downhill. Don't miss it. Then let the good times roll all the way down to HWY 410.There is another trail that runs along side 410 and take you back to forest service road 72 and back to your car.

This is not the easiest ride but well worth it. The clinb up the forest service roads is a pain(Ihate riding the roads) but the veiws of the Cascades is awesome! The ride down is pretty steep at times w/ tight switchbacks.

Directions

Follow SR 167 South to SR 410 East for 38.2 miles to Forest Service Road 72. Turn left and go 50 yards and park on the right side of the road at a small pull out.
